Every time i drink an energy drink i never seem to get, well an energy boost.

Although i continue to drink them in hope that one day i will :o

I have just drunk a litre and a half of tescos energy drink which apparently has 30mg of caffeine for every 100ml.

I have never drunk coffee so i don't know if I'm just not susceptible to caffeine at all?

Google isn't throwing up much information about this.

It's great until you get a caffeine OD. On comes the sickness and the shakes and if you try and lie down the room starts spinning and you feel even worse. Why I stopped drinking energy drinks. I still drink a lot of coffee, but never has it left me feeling like the energy drinks did.

Don't drink any for a couple days.
Go buy two cans of Starbucks Doubleshot.
Neck both.

See what you feel then, if you can still see.

They seem to pep me up a little, have them on the odd early or late shift to keep me going. I also like the taste so its pretty win win (except monster, eugh....). It doesnt make you go crazy high tempo, just seems to make a you a bit more alert (or does me anyway).

You build up a tolerance to caffeine in a matter of days, if you drink them (or other caffeinated drinks) regularly, their effect will be limited. You might get a bit of a sugar high or something but I wouldn't expect much more.

Never had a sugar, caffeine etc.. rush no matter how much of the stuff i drink. Cold shower wakes me up way more than any coffe could, also coffee does nothing for me to try and stay awake. I'm odd though, need extra injections at dentist for pain, apparently lasted longer than usual on the drip thing before going out before surgery, sleeping pills do nothing etc.

No effect on me either. And it's only the bitterness of coffee that wakes me up. Caff or decaff, it makes no difference.

OP has probably confused energy boost with adrenaline rush. Those energy drinks just keeps you more awake tbh. If you want an adrenaline rush you need to play around with your emotions like being scared ect. I managed to get it a few times though, feels awesome when your on the running track lol.

I see, you were expecting this:

I had a whole can of Relentless before driving back from Stoke once just to make sure I didn't get too cosy (even though I felt fine) - It did nothing but make me stop at a service station and pee an hour in ¬_¬

They work great if you're occasionally tired and feeling run down. They really pick you up and give you a boost.

But they don't work long term. If you feel drained all the time then no amount of caffeine will help.

If you want energy, take caffeine pills and ephedrine. I think Ephedrine is banned now. I used to buy it in shops but never see them sell it anymore. :/

you'll bouncing off the walls for hours. :)
