What you're most likely seeing are midges, not mosquitoes.

They probably are mosquitoes, there are 33 species of mosquito that have been recorded in the British isles.

Just cause they don't cause Malaria or bother you doesn't mean they don't cause problems.

Sorry pal it isn't.

I don't have problems with them here but I do on the continent. so bad luck. For the great majority they aren't a problem in this country unless you live next to swamp.

Try aromatherapy oils like citronella, anything citrus basically they won't like. Neem and tea tree should also put them right off you. B vits, there's another one in your favour.

Go to Boots and buy a jungle formula mosquito killer plug-in. It uses a two pin plug so you will need an adapter. It will kill them all, its very effective.
