I never really look forward to these, however I am looking forward to this New Year coming up.

Have you thought of any resolutions or things you want to aim towards for next year?

Indifferent, it has no real meaning to me

infact I only used to look forward to a good **** up but didn;t care about the day itself

I never thought of it meaningful either, just something I am looking forward to I guess, pretty sad really as I know when it comes it will be the same as the day before. :p

well if the job I have gone for comes through then it'll be good bye to the 100 mile a day commute, no more need for my mrs to work evenings, and I can put an end to the rut we have been living with for the past 2 years...

I’m desperately thinking of something to give up but I’m sure I’ll think of something by the new year.

It's just another day, another year.
Illusions that things will change magically because we humans celebrate the continuation/renewal of a cycle is amusing.

If people have wishes or want to give up something etc, do it now, don't wait for an excuse like new years.

Resolution wise:

Get part time work/some form of income, revise enough to get at least ABB on my A-Levels. Maybe get a girlfriend. I'll see how that pans out. That's about it really. Actually I'm working on those things now so perhaps I'll think of something else by then.

Otherwise I'm not looking forward to New Years Eve itself, as it usually involves my life being temporarily full of drunk and stupid people and I can't be doing with that.

Are you talking about looking forward to Hogmanay itself or the year that follows? It doesn't really change my answer much as I've got no real plans for either right now but it may matter to some.

Yes but only because I'm going on holiday for the 5 days beforehand :D

Couldnt really care less about the new date on the calender. Something demonstrated quite clearly by my plans for New Years Eve - drive from Edinburgh to Worcester :p

This.

So far, I have stuck to my 2010 resolutions which were:

1. Loose 2 stone in weight
2. Goto the gym 2-3 times a week.

went from 15 stone down to 13.

2011 - much the same as 2010, get fit & maybe a new job :)

yeah Im looking forward to 2011!

I am looking forward to the New Year purely because I should be out of plaster sometime around Christmas/New Year and able to walk again.

2011 is going to be a busy year, going from a 1-10 job where working weekends are a must to a 9-6 Monday-Friday gig. All of a sudden I have a 'normal' social life to enjoy.
