It's only going as secure as the polices or acls you have put in place to block or allow traffic between networks. However, if its isolation within that VLAN you need to be looking at PVLAN's. The only caveat to that would be how vulnerable your make and model of device to current hacks or exploits and how the vendor patches these fixes.
