Is Belkin bad

I really did not rate one of my older Belkin cable routers...!

Seemed as soon as someone on the network was downloading it all came to a halt, that done it for me :(

Usein Linksys now :)

+1 for problems with Belkin routers. Please forgive my ignorance, but could someone please explain to me why a lot of people hate Norton? Thanks.

I'm using a belkin wireless PCI card, no issues with it, other than driver issues (was more of a problem with W7 though I think).

After fixing them, I've had no problems.

My old belkin router was infinately better than this stupid thomson router given to me by Be :(

So are they bad? No. They're just distinctly average.

I've gone through about 6 Belkin routers as I had so many problems with them overheating and generally not doing what they're supposed to do.

To Belkin's credit, they've always been replaced and my current Belkin router has been working pretty smoothly ever since.

Still, I wouldn't recommend them for all the hassle and the overheating.

I've got a Belkin Wireless PCI card that's average, but works okay. We've had a Belkin wireless router blow up though.

I have a Belkin Wireless PCI card too, it works, but not as well as you might expect. Also cost a lot more than it should've.

Been using a Wireless G+ router off em for about 2 years now. No real problems, though in honestly the wireless bit just gets used for my iphone, rest is cat5'ed or powerlined.

Couple of USB wireless adaptors in the past of Belkin brand. I have no real sway either way on Belkin to be honest. In my experience they seem to be very much "entry level"/"basic home" kind of products.

I think their routers are rubbish, we had one and it kept dropping connection all the time went netgear after that. Where I work we get a lot of belkin routers back as faulty.

Edit: lol ^ posted while I was typing

As far as i know belkin offer a lifetime warranty on a lot of their stuff, but ive had my router be intermittent, not blow up, but sometimes it doesnt work..

ive had a belin wirless router now for about 1 and a half years no troubles mind it did cost me lik 110pounds back when i bough it. and it does feel hto to touch btu never broke yet (touches wood)

What do people think about the other supermarket brand, Trust? While their products feel cheap, I've had some great mice and keyboards from them...

I <3 my Trust wireless desk set.

Most of my recent mice and keyboards have been Trust and I've had absolutely 0 problems. Keyboard takes hours of gaming, the mouse constant use and both feel solid. The batteries last ages too.

I was actually going to buy two more of the exact same one for when it breaks, but the store had sold out :-( I'm very clumsy with my mice etc, it's taken several drops with nothing more than clicking the scrollwheel back into place.
