i Played a few hours when I bought it but found it kinda repetitive game play and scenery. So quit.

I then heard its meant to be amazing online coop? But is that only with friends or in general?

Awesome with friends, not played it with randoms online so can't talk for that. Its not a perfect game, but I enjoy running around finding more, better guns. Its just the number cruncher in me :)

I just found the whole map so similar. There was little variety in the scenary. At least in the 1st few hours gameplay. PLus long traveling to missions also

Its a good game but imo overrated, majority of it was fetch like mmo quests and a story that make your eyes roll. If you can find at least one person to play with then its still moneys worth to play.

I played it through on my own first time round, was a good game but the whole "bazillions on weapons" is a little misleading.

I completed it and a couple of the DLC in solo, can't really imagine playing it in coop. Surely people end up wandering off all over the place, or want to tackle areas at a different pace, or want to do different missions etc?

I played it with a steam friend + some solo. Have 139 hours playtime. Its all in the journey + upgrading weapons. I bought the goty version and I have not been through all the content completely. I used willowtree to mod weapons then you can't get any better weapons, so killed it a bit. I played berserker.

Personally I'd say no. I'm struggling to get to the end, but I won't be beaten by it.

I think the second one will have the niggles ironed out, but for me the first has lacked any cohesive story, has questionable mechanics, and the weapon pickups are tediously similar. On the upside, once you've leveled up popping someone's head off with a sniper is incredibly satisfying. Or the 2 shot caustic revolver also hits the spot.

Masochistically, the screaming gives me gaming wood.

Co-op with randoms is a nightmare. Triply so if you are not all at the same level. Some spoons run off and nick the loot, others run to the next area taking everyone with them even if you weren't ready.

Play with friends if you must but each should use a character that you only use when playing with each other so the levels remain close.

The guns are not all the same, since the enemies are not all vulnerable to the same damage. You can have 4 different guns with different elemental effects for each class of gun i.e. shotgun, sniper.

Plus if you get a good skill modded enhancement it can make some weapons a lot more powerful. With the berserker shotgun firerate attribute greately increased, this weapon a lot more fearsome. Then u need to swap to a different skill mod to use your rocket launchers (mainly for groups of enemies).
