Is Burnout Paradise the most frustrating game ever?

I can't say any of the criticisms mentioned by the OP have bothered me in the slightest.

The only annoying thing for me is failing a race close to the end then having to drive all the way back to the start. In places like Downtown, Pacific Heights etc this isn't a problem as there's plenty to do here, but when you're stranded out in White Mountain or somewhere and have to drive all the way back to Downtown for the umpteenth time it does get quite tiresome.

Having said that, the rest of the game more than makes up for it for me. Just got 18 more events to go till Elite, finish off the Showtimes then it's time for some serious online play :D

a) Puts you back on the road after a crash, in the middle of a tense racing, facing the side of the road or a wall.

b) Everything is a huge drama. Clip the bumper on a car? Watch a 10 second video of your car flying 500000 feet through the air whilst everyone else in the race finishes and has time to make coffee

c) Want to select a car? Sure, just want 5000 hours to watch every car in the world fall from the sky first

d) Satnav? Intermittant. Sometimes it works, sometimes it sends you completely retarded ways, sometimes it jumps from 5 miles to finish to 10 miles to finish.

OMG ARGHGHGHGHGHGHHGHGHG Controller = Wall

A) this does happen occasionally, have played a good 35 hours and its happened twice to me. I try not to crash though.

B) ...Don't crash then? Remember you don;t have to boost constantly to win races. Take shortcuts (too many to list) as the computers ignore them - giving you some slack if you do crash

C) It takes 2 seconds for a car to appear....???????????????????????

D) Before the race starts look at the start and finish points. 99% of the time the sat nav will guide you via the most direct route - usually following a main road - this isn't always the best route though. On the earlier races it doesn't really matter, but choose a better route on the harder races and you can finish quite a time before the comp.

Controller????? Its fine, just like any console controller.

Only annoying thing for me (esp as i'm only 49 wins from elite) is that I have to drive to opposite sides if the map to complete an odd race i missed. It needs some sort of warp feature or restart option. Other than that this is defo in the top 10 360 titles for me.

I also find this game slightly frustrating but more tedious to the point that I'm trading it in. It was fun at first but the slow-mo crashes just annoy me now and having to complete events over and over to finish the game is boring. I also find the open world just plain boring.

Takedown and Revenge were far superior games IMO.

Go and play takedown then and stop crying me a river. jeez. If you don't like don't play.

You're finding the game frustrating as you're most likely:

- Following the sat nav, trying to make a 90 degree turn at the last minute and crashing a lot.

- ...or boosting all the time, choose where you boost maybe?

- The crashes only get annoying when you see them a lot, thus you must be crashing a lot. Simple answer, get better, don't crash so you won't have to moan here about a perfectly good game.

Suarve, people are allowed their opinions without it being turned into a "stop bloody moaning" debate. Not everybody will feel the same about a game, if everyone had the same opinions it would quickly get boring. I however love the game.
