Is buying apple operating systems illegal?

I had my thread closed because I asked how to change from a windows operating system to an apple operating system.

So I have some questions:
-is installing apple operating system on a home built computer illegal?
-isn't Linux just the operating system for apple?
-I thought the apple OS for anyone to use was widely available?



Please not I am not interested in any cracked software.
If genuine software is available on overclockers I will buy it.

I feel my last post was shut down a bit premature.

It's against their EULA.

You cannot install Apple software on a non-apple device.

Apple is based on BSD. Linux is UNIX.

Your last thread was not closed prematurely, you said (and you've repeated above) that you want to run MacOS on non Apple hardware. This is not allowed under the EULA and the thread I linked to tells you that discussion of this is not permitted on this forum.

So this thread will be closed as well, please do not start another on on the same subject.
