I've just installed my new i7 930 on the Asus P6X58D-E with little trouble. CPUZ core voltage appears to fluctuate.

What I'm after is the VID for my chip but I don't seem to be able to find it from within windows 7. Where should I look for this info?

Shouldn't it be in your BIOS? Go into BIOS and check the CPU Vcore figure. There should be 2 figures. The left figure can't be modified and that is your VID.

im still not sure what it is for my chip. BIOS doesnt give it in hardware monitor and the settings are a little different from all other BIOSes ive used before.
