If that's the case then I doubt he'll get in the England setup. If Beattie can't get in I doubt someone struggling to hold down a place at Blackburn will do it either.

What was his accident by the way? Was it a car accident?

Yeah, I thought he wasn't playing regularly. I've not been paying much attention to Blackburn line-ups in recent weeks assumed he was in and out of the team?

I think it was a motorbike accident while on holiday, though I may be wrong. I'm pretty certain it was a motor accident anyway.

He's not been in the team since he nearly killed himself, but other than that he was a first-choice name AFAIK

I didn't mean he's not played since, I thin he's made a couple of appearances, but he's not the same player. Blackburn say he's not going to be capable of playing a full match until the start of next season.
