is everyone getting a 24" monitor!!

Ive had 19" and 22" in the past but when I went to 24"

OMG

Jaw dropping stuff.... can literally put 2 A4 websites side by surf and surf galore, 24" just makes life easier and its always good to see your images and websites so clear with that insane 1920 resoloution, + u can get blown away more when u run a 1080p HD source which u need a 24" and above to view ;)

You wont go back to anything else smaller....

There can be only one.......!

I bought the Dell 2407 WFP while it was on offer, I'm very pleased with it so far, but I must admit I'm getting used to the size rapidly, couldn't imagine working on anything smaller. Just need to upgrade my ancient system to match this awesome piece of kit.

Don't think I'll be replacing my 20" 2007WFP until I can get a 24" S-IPS. The 2408WFP is tempting but it's a lot to spend on a PVA with the problems they usually have (acute viewing angle problem, crushed blacks, input lag etc). Don't really want to sacrifice quality for size. Wouldn't buy a TN in that size either.

Loving my 24". The best thing about it is when you are playing games, your peripheral vision is all in the game, giving more immersion. I got an OCUK, awesome screen :)

24" is the new 22". I'm still on my 19" Sony CRT. I'll most likely get a 24" sometime this year. I was close to getting a 22 but I changed my mind because of the resolutions. 24" will be perfect for HD.

24" screens seem to be moving to a reasonable price and with good image quality too. They are ideal for desktop and multimedia use. However, I am just worried about the horsepower needed to drive them in games at their native resolution. If you do go for a 24" monitor, then you are pretty guaranteed to be upgrading other parts of the PC continually to get playable performance in new games.

I think that 22" screens are best for gamers on a £ for performance budget basis.

Im happy with my 20" Acer :D
Won't be changing it in a hurry, can't warrant spending out on a 24".

I do want a 24", have for ages- but have been based on a 19" unbranded CRT for the past... oooh, 8 years. It's gone a bit fuzzy and

-Use for HD content #9Xbox, TV, movies etc.)
-So I can bring it up to Notts (The CRT wouldn't let me fit my keyboard in front of it on this desk)
-Extra space/resolution for coding/browsing/whatevertheheck.
-After I recommended it my Dad bought one, and I'm envious, damnit.

I made the switch in 2005 and never looked back.

I've used 30" Apple Cinema Displays at uni and to be honest I find them too big unless you're sitting a long way back. I think 24" is the optimum compromise between screen and desk real-estate.

When Apple get around to upgrading their cinema displays I might be tempted to sell the Dell 2405 for an ACD.

Panzer

I'm currently on 20", considering the 24" but just a bit worried at the moment about the increased resolution on gaming

Considering the GTX is aging a bit

I'm on a 20" at the mo, been seriously considering going 24". However, I have absolutley fallen in love with the dell 2707. Not sure what to do.
