Is Evo33 good for FX?

You dancer thats just what I need, thinking about it I could do with that for my 2 exhaust fans to go on one mobo header. Right better have a bit of a search now. Cheers bbreezeuk

i use 2 silent 80mm fans (cant quite remember the make) in a push pull config and it keeps my venice 3000+ always under 40 degrees c

so yeah it will cope easily; you may just want to change the fan

cheers

bit late for the dons deleting the posts :p :p
P.S if u want some good 80mm fans i can recomend the akasa LED ones as they have good air flow at full speed although they are pretty noisy but u have a fan controler so it dont really matter

Must read the faqs a bit more, Sorry don.
In the end Im going to suck it and see, have both ambers on it and see how it does.

I find the the EVO 33 to be fairly good. Unfortunitly it faces downwards on the MSI Neo2 Platinum haha... helps to cool the GPU though :)

I unplugged the fan the other day... to see what would happen.

Idle = 4 degrees warmer - 26 compared to 30
Load = 10 degrees warmer - 33 compared to 43

Thats on a 3200 winchester, stock, with a modded coolermaster cavalier case - 120 amber fan in the spare 5" drive bays at the front. This blows directly over the cpu and ram.

Muddyfox if u can remember the name of your fans that would be great, thanks

The fan's were Adda's and they can be picked up for very little money, they run silently; i cannot hear them, and they work perfectly, as i said the temps is always below 40

However they dont look great (just black fans) so if you want something flash...

one prob i did find with the evo33 was the screw for the fans, one of the screws didnt attach very securely so i just used a nut and bolt ;)
