Hey guys,
I recently downloaded the FEAR demo and i've only played up to those big guys.I got a little fright when i saw the little girl run past me, but I want to know is FEAR the game for me? I like stealthy games and run and gun, but I don't really like scary or psychological horror(only 14) If theres the odd scare, then I don't really mind, but if it is mostly a scary game then I wont get it. Is it one of those games where the horror sticks in your head? I really love the gun fighting, but dont really enjoy the scary moments.
thank you
dave

If you're only 14 then you shouldn't be playing it in the first place. FEAR is a certificate 18 game and anyone underage who plays it will grow into a psychological madman.

So, no, don't buy it. ;)

the only thing that scared me was the frames per second.

once you get a decent computer you can play while eating your breakfast.

the blood is pretty cool though when it sprays on the wall

lol, only messed up epople go crazy form playing games;) :p The demo is quite fun, so I may be buying this soon!

The game is boring, I completed the game when I was 15, not scary at all so stop going on about age restrictions even doom 3 was better than this game. So boring I almost died. The demo made me buy it because it had good combat, but I soon regretted it, dont buy it. Almost every level is the same thing.

Is this true? Does anyone else have the same problem? I am having second thoughts now because there are also a lot of bad commmenst about this game.

I thought it was really good, it was a little repetitive though, but its less repetative than WoW and people keep playing that ;) and it was fairly short, I think i finnished it in a few days, but it kept me entertained for those few days.

Became very repetitve near the end and had one hell of an anti-climax. :/

Only finished it earlier today btw. :D

I got F.E.A.R today, played it for about an hour so far.

My first impressions are that its not too bad. Graphically, I didn't think much of it at all. Generally the environments are quite bland, and it runs pretty poorly even when I'm running at low settings. It looks pretty nice once you get some action on screen though, sparks flying, walls falling to pieces, blood all over the place :D

The weapons feel nice, you actually have to control your fire on fully automatic weapons otherwise you're all over the place tearing chunks out of the wall instead of your enemies :D

I absolutely LOVE the combat shotgun. You can't beat it in slow motion, it rocks :)

The question you need to ask yourself is thus ... 'Do I want to pay 29.99 for a games developer to poop on my head with realistic physics but very little reason?'

If you have your wits about you, you may notice that although the idea Seems interesting its actually not that pleasant.

The poop is fear...

Make your choices accordingly.

I thought it was an excellent game, had me gripped right up until the end credits rolled, I liked the psychological stuff mixed with all the awesome action, the game has probably some of the best shootouts with the tough enemies and stuff flying everywhere when the guns start going off, love it
