I also left GiffGaff because data became so slow and unreliable, 100x better for me on EE or 3

I used them for most of 2013. Service wasn't really bad, but after switching to 3 I realise just how slow the mobile data is. 3 also has great perks too for just a little bit more money (unlimited data, you can use data in quite a lot of foreign countries for free and very respectable speeds).
I went with Gif Gaff for my son as it was nice to control expenditure and have no run away cost. However after seeing how dire his data connection was I jumped ship for him and he is now on Three - unlimited data for £15 a month. Zero credit so he shouldn't be able to incur additional costs.
I've used them for the last 3 years and had no issues.
My only requirements for my phone is that is can call/text, use google maps + stream music off spotify, and for £12 a month I can do that with GG no problem.
Signal in the south east hasn't been an issue, but I had issues when passing through the midlands.
