Is Heavy Rain worth buying or is it best to Rent it out ?

It Looks a bit pricey for £39 should I wait for the price to come down ?

Also how long does it take to complete ?

I enjoyed it immensely, but i will admit it's a marmite game, you'll either love it or hate it. Try the free demo on the PSN store.

It doesn't cost £39, i've just seen it brand new for £26.85 with free next day delivery.

My first playthrough took approximately 15 hours, but i took it slowly. I plan to replay it in the future as there's several endings and different paths to take.

I seen it in Game today for £39.99 though I guess it can be had for cheaper elsewhere. :)

You really need to stop frequenting that store, it'll save you a lot of money. There's some great stores online that offer free next day delivery and, as i've demonstrated above, are usually much, much cheaper.

I still think it's a horribly overrated game and an extremely glorified bukakke-thon of QTEs. It's extremely perplexing that I'm in a tiny minority on this - PS3 owners have plenty of other exclusives to toot their horns about!

Yes I agree it's my Kids they always drag me in there. Little kids leading the big kid. :p

The Move version is coming out in November. If you are going to get that hardware, then I'd wait for that version myself.

First half of it I found quite boring, as a lot of the interaction is unneccesary. Didn't pick up for me until a few hours in. Even then I didn't find it that great as there wasn't much of a challenge. Yes I'm sort of intrigued to see how it my have gone had I done things differently, but I really can't bring myself to play it again hence I'm selling it (MM :p)

Rent it.

It's the marmite of games. I rented it and found it dull as ****. Other's have jizzed over it though.

£25 is still too expensive imo.

Yes but I like everything bundled together. Like Game of the Year editions with DLC included and whathaveyou. :D

You do also realize the move edition is on preorder for 35% more money than the normal version? That's a lot of money to spend to avoid downloading a patch :p

This isn't like that though, they're literally going to put a ~xx mb update which will install when you start the game.

currently £25 at morrisons. I'll probably buy the game when it's sub £20

I'm just pointing out options - I'm not going to buy it until it gets to Platinum at £17.99 anyway! :D I rent whilst the price is above twenty notes.

I'm just pointing out insanities - I buy games new because i've got brain issues. It costs me a fortune :(

(Although to be fair i preordered all the games i wanted nearly 2 years ago, as the prices were fixed at what i preordered for i got Heavy Rain for £32 on release day, not bad imo)

Yes it's worth buying. The move edition is just that it is ready out of the box for offline users, there will be an update for the existing version. There is no need to spend £40 on a game unless you want it on release, even then there's usually somewhere selling it for £34
