is Heavy Rain worth getting ?

It's pretty damn good, not quite as great as I thought it would be though and has some replay value I guess but it's not the type of game I felt like replaying tbh.

I'm part of the 'oh dear god no' crowd - I rate it up there with one of the worst games I have ever played. A game where I have to complete button sequences that involve getting dressed, shaving my face, playing with the children and going to work? What in the blue hell is that about? I'm not a fan, I hated it, I bought it second hand one day, returned it the next.

For me it was the best game of 2010. Some of the earlier missions are more of a drawn out training with a story line. I wouldn't say it was all easy though. It's the first game I've played for a while where, if you 'die' at certain parts, you skip parts of the game that you can't go back to and characters/levels don't return.

How have they implemented them? What do you have to do in place of holding down buttons?

Move, spin or shake the controllers in different directions. A lot of the actions in-game you mimic in real-life i.e. knocking on doors, punching. Does take a little getting used to at first though.
