I want to consolidate a couple of my home servers into an ESXi (free edition) host. I've been looking at an HP Microserver Gen10 as I already have a Gen8 and I really like the form factor (I'm looking for something with a lot of drive bays which can easily be moved up and down to my attic, which is where it will live).

Could anyone advise on whether the Microserver Gen10 would be a good solution for me, and if so what processor should I choose?

- Windows Server or maybe Windows10 - Blue Iris IP camera monitoring (12 cameras) - Web server (low traffic)
- Lubuntu - Logitech Media Server - Home Assistant (home automation server) - File server - Mediawiki server (low traffic)
- Development VMs - Ad hoc Linux/Windows VMs for development/testing purposes (only one running at any one time)
Could anyone advise on whether the Microserver Gen10 would be a good solution for me, and if so what processor should I choose?
