Is iMessage down?

I seem to have lost the ability to iMessage, anyone else having this problem? No changed any settings at all, hasn't worked in about an hour.

Was an outage with iMessage and Facetime which should have been resolved now. I didn't experience any issues but my Mum did

After trying to send multiple iMessages on my iPhone 4, it appears that iMessage is down for me.
