Is it a good idea to deposit casino winnings into your bank?

Obviously its a bad idea if you have something to hide anyway, you could go in with 100k in cash and come out with 20k (winnings) - seems it would be an ideal way to launder money really.

IF you walk into a bank with that amount of money without any proof or a viable reason why you have it then YES your account will be flagged and an internal inspection will most likely take place.

The rest will happen behind the scenes and if there is an occurrence or any transaction that are deemed suspicions the investigation will continue.

"that's what i was told" :/

Unless the casino has lots of high rollers betting hundreds of pounds per spin its fairly easy to keep track off. The majority of the people on the table will be playing using coloured chips which are a designated amount. The guy with tons of cash would be paying with cash chips (notably £100 cash chips for the most part). Make's it easy for the dealer to keep track.

Ah fair enough - I just assumed they'd play at a table with higher limits. Then again I guess that depends on how many tables there are. In a smaller casino I guess the rich guys playing with a few grand in cash chips will have to mix it up with the proles throwing in their coloured chips at £1 a pop...

Honestly saying I've never tried to deposit my casino winning into the bank despite I often win some money online as I'm pretty good at Blackjack. Basically, I prefer to get cash but I think you can try this option. Probably that will work :)
