Is it a good night when you don't remember going out?

random unplanned night outs are the best. Especially when they end with a stripper buying you drinks and a free dance. Now that would be good!

2 bottles of Vodka 750ml in 8 hours you would be unconscious, I drank 500ml of vodka in a night and was very very drunk.

1.5 litres is incredibly ambitious I'd be proper drunk after that, if not hospitalised, but a litre isn't that bad if you drink often I've done litre bottles in about 8 hours before and been completely fine, well, not fine but I wasn't throwing up and I could walk.

6'6" ~19 stone.

I can't see 500ml getting you THAT drunk unless you're quite small or don't drink often.

I'd love to be able to go out and spend like 30-40 quid, usually i end up spending at least £70, my personal best is around £200, the "Oh my god I've just been paid, lets buy everyone drinks using this magical card like device". Then stumbling past a curry bar and paying for a taxi.
Too generous when I'm drunk, and I don't pregame, always start my drinking in a pub or a club.

6'6" ~19 stone ffs come on people.

That is the only reason you were not in a hospital bay. most people are not that tall and well built. I think the average is 5ft 8 " as for weight i guess that vary s depending on how much you like mcdonalds.

Mcdonalds, I think I may vomit, horrible ****. Chemical filled rubbish.

500ml of vodka really doesn't seem like much to me. Thats not much more than a small bottle, and those small bottles are rubbish. I can't see height and weight being that much of a factor either, I never used to need that much 7-8 cans would do me, but it takes me an awful lot to get drunk nowadays.

I think the amount of time you've been drinking is a factor too.

I dont even understand what the fuss is about i mean seriously 8 hours or so

thats like 4 shots per hour, are you all insane or what that you do a stupid calculation instead of thinking about it normally?

My main point is i dont get total memory loss as the OP says, and thats it, regardless of how much i drink, its just fuzzy but i remember everything over the next day

Thats because you are superman in disguise!

Or a 12 year old kid :p

Have a play around with this and you'll see what a big difference between male average (90kg) and your considerably un-average (no offence! I'm around that myself) 120kg is.

Just as an example. 500ml @ 40% over 8 hours.

90kg = 0.11
120kg = 0.05

You'll start to see why the 1500ml claim see extremely dubious. ;)

im 62KG! :(

shandy for me please.... *hiccup*

Amazing what a weight difference does.

I said the 1500ml claim was complete bull****. No one can do that in all honesty.

they can, but death may occur.

To be fair my housemate did the ebony & ivory challenge. Ten glass of bacardi and ten glass of vat19. He drank those between 10.30am and 5.30pm (or so) then we got him down for a pint at the local pub and out to a club over the next few hours. He had about another 3drinks at the club before running home. However this is a 6ft 1 south african that is about 23stone, aged 19 at the time. He also had bugger all memory from most of the day, especially journeys to and from places and insulting random people or dropping his pint.

He had a great day. Also he had plenty of food during this but im pretty sure that'd put him in the dead range.

Despite this platinum is talking out his rear

Feeding the 20 glasses 25ml (single shot) of 37.5% booze over 7 hours to the aforementioned website gives 0.116% "Did you have trouble using the keyboard?" He was a very big man and that has a big effect.

The pint and 3 more unspecified drinks over the next few hours, less a bit for alcohol dealt with by his body over that time, wouldn't get him into the "should be dead already" zone.

orderoftheflame is quite right. Drinking 32 shots in 8 hours is more than enough for alcohol poisoning and is quite frankly stupidity of the highest order. thats over one 70CL bottle of vodka at 25ml shots, and most bars use the larger 35ml shot measures these days which would take it to 110CL (1.1 litres of vodka).

8 hours to drink, 32 hours to clear out of your system based on 25ml shots. so that's conservative.

utter stupidity.

I can understand a couple of double V`s and coke in the first hour to get you going but continuing at that pace is irresponsible firstly to yourself and secondly to others.

It's worse than that - his original claim was 1.5 litres of vodka in the 8 hours.

How much of an alcoholic you are is a factor, yes.

You can build a tolerance for alcohol, as you can for many drugs, if you use it often enough and to a large enough extent.

If you've built up the level of tolerance you claim, you must be an alcoholic. Continue as you are doing and you will die.

All these drinks calculators are rubbish. As mentioned a healthy adult male could consume a bottle of vodka throughout the period of a night and not die.

Maybe if you only drank Vodka all night and ate during drinking, plus a bottle are we talking 330ml 750ml 1000ml bottles?

I am 5 foot 6, I can drink a lot but I dont make up rubbish that I can put away vast quantities of spirits in a short space of time.

Huh, in Poland we call such thing "your movie has been cut off". No big deal ;-) Bigger one is what you've made, or what happaned to you. In this case helpful friend is like recorder with too many recordings.

To be honest, I haven't called Platinum87 out on this because I think it's (just about) possible.

Don't try this at home:

When I was younger (read as 'an idiot'), I managed to drink 1 litre of vodka in the space of 4 hours (Dan's house party in second year, for those who know me that are reading!). Unbelievably, I can indeed remember what I got up to (:o), but I was horrifically ill the next day - I could barely eat and I still felt miserably ill the day after that.

So Platinum87 drank 1.5x this amount but in double the time. I'm a pretty big lightweight, so I'm going to pass judgement in his favour this time. His sandwich will be ready another day.

Define alcoholic.

I have at least 1 pint a day (always have a drink with dinner)
2-3 times a week i have 3 - 4 at the pub.
at least once a week i go out and get trashed

Personally I think it's just being young.

How do you know you drank 1 litre, as with all walks of life people exaggerate a little when telling old stories.

Because I brought along the bottle, I hid it in a draw in the aforementioned friends room with express instructions that it was for me (room was out of bounds)

He phoned me the next day to express his concern - the bottle was empty and, unless somebody had been through all of his draws (nothing was pinched), it had only been consumed by me. Yikes. Everybody can get out their tin foil hats, but that is what happened.

If you woke up with any of these Items strewn about your room:

Traffic Cone

Handcuffs

Any road, For Sale or other type of signs

A lady friend

or all of the above

Chances are it was a good night!
