Is it a worthwhile upgrade...?

Hi, well my birthday next week.. so like thinking of upgrading my system.
Here it is so far :

Amd 64 3000 +
Asrock 939 dual
1gb Crucial PC3200 ram 400mhz
60gb hdd Seagate

I was thinking of going to get again 2x 512mb Crucial PC3200..

Is it a worthwile upgrade to go to 2gb ram.... Will I notice anything ?

play many games?

when I installed another pair of 512 sticks in my machine you could tell difference in gaming anyways e.g. Battlefield 2 etc

bf2 and other games will have less pauses in. Windows will be a bit quicker. I certainly prefer a 2GB system to 1, and it is now the accepted standard for a new build. Make sure you sell your old Ram, and get a 2 x 1GB, to get maximum benefit.

I dont think I will get much for my current ram, so I was just going to add another 2 x 512mb... is there a huge difference between 2x1gb and 4x512mb...they will all be same brand etc....

Pc used for :

Few games (Css mainly)
Starting a bit of web design, PHP.
Movies
Msn
Music

Just your general machine.
