Is it advisable to let CD/DVDs warm up before I install?

The postman left my package on top of the post box in this freezing weather so I now have some rather cold games.

Bought them back inside and they've got some condensation on them (not much) and are extremely cold. Can I just install them straight away or should I let them get to room temp?

Weird question I know...

You know, I've always let them warm up first but purely out of habit for anything electronics related. I'd be surprised if it makes any difference really though.
 
Makes no difference imo, i've installed straight from the cold post and all has been fine. Just wipe the condensation/moisture off and stick em in. :p
 
Well if they're still cold enough to collect condensation then you should wait, unless you think your drive would like a drink.
 
They'll be fine, it's not like they're dripping with water from the condensation. the only problem you may have is problems reading if it's really bad initially, but they'll warm up in seconds in the drive.
 
I would wait, i was at a football game the other week, and had taken my switch card out of my wallet and put it in my pocket, after sitting in the cold for 3 hours, i took it out my pocket and it snapped in half.
