is it because I'm a beginner i don't pp

I do as little as possible as I can't stand sitting in front of a PC at home I do enough of that in work!

I have my camera configured to shoot raw and JPEG and I have a custom setting on the camera which gives me an output that 99% of the time I'm happy with, especially for screen viewing. I'll go back and process the RAW if I decide to use the photo for something more like a print or a photobook but even then I tend to just do a quick minimal job.

I found Lightroom too cumbersome for me, as I am used to Photoshop. The post processing tricks I use are to either simulate photo film studio techniques, or to perform simple colour tweaks to get the best out of my images. Using just a bridge camera (Fujifilm S200EXR) I find PP essential for adding a little polish to some of my bland images. Photography is a hobby for me and knowing I'll never be as good as most of the guys on this forum (eg. the great Raymondo Lin), I always take their ideas as inspiration to make my pictures unique.

If anything I think photoshop is more cumbersome than lightroom. Photoshop is a much slower process for batches of images and I only use it for photos if there's loads of bokeh fringing or I need to edit in depth for images I'm really happy with.
