Is it ever too late to go to uni?..

I see, there's the problem I had, first time I went it was the natural progression from college, but when I got there I soon realised that I didn't particularly want to do the computing degree I had chosen because I didn't particularly want to go into a computing career, second time someone kind of talked me into it but I soon realised that the web dev course was a waste of my time and in the end I didn't want to do that as a career either.

I lack direction, oh and I also have a mental problem with being taught, I would rather learn than be taught.

Push your kids as long as you're paying ;)
 
also depending what course you want to do you can probably do it part time. for example our uni does my engineering course as a 1 day and 1 evening a week thing. just it takes an extra year and is no doubt harder work

Lots of people go to Uni thinking they find a subject interesting and then realise they don't. They are often the people who are interested in being interested about an area, but aren't actually interested when they take that plunge!

Uni is not about being taught, it wasn't for me anyway. I would say that I taught myself by reading constantly - the lecturers were just an helpful guide.
 
Either way, if I thought I needed to go to uni to get somewhere I actually wanted to be I'd go regardless of my age, I just don't have a destination atm.
 
My Dad never got the opportunity to go to Uni first time round. After an inebriated discussion about 10 years ago I dared him to go back as he'd taken early retirement. He did, really enjoyed the course and got a high 2:1 in his early 60s.

It's never too late.
 
A friend will graduate at 31:)

Most people on his course are mid 20's

Definately never too late.

I will finish my degree next year at the age of 37. Going to study another degree as soon as I get this one out the way.

Nobody in the class even bothers about age to be honest.

My mother was late 40s when she started her degree so 24 is not too late. Hell I am 27 and am having so much fun right now that I don't plan on hitting uni (unless there is a major change in my life) till I am late 30s
