Just noticed you have reduced i7 8700k by a massive £30! feeling a little out of pocket as it was only 12 days ago that I paid £428.99 for mine........

would be nice as a gesture of goodwill if overclockers uk would refund me the difference back too my card.

because I do feel its a little unfair and such a big amount and only 12 days ago.

My point is I could have got this from the UK biggest online retailer and they would have refunded me the 30.00 no questions asked, If it was over 20 + days I wouldn't ask but the fact its under 12 days I think its a fair shout... I could under UK law send it back and get a refund! But then that leaves OC with a second hand CPU to sell when on the other hand they could refund me some of the money back......

I could send it back under UK law and get a full Refund that's my point... No loss too me! I'm not being funny about this , a 30.00 DROP in price in 12 days is a lot of money....... I'd happily take 15.00 refund....

In the words of the President Frank Underwood..

"You are entitled to nothing. You, are entitled, to nothing"

Your wrong! I could easily send it back and get a full refund! Purchased using Amazon PAY to start with....... + under UK law
Online, mail and phone order sales
Online, mail and telephone order customers have the right to cancel their order for a limited time even if the goods aren’t faulty. Sales of this kind are known as ‘distance selling’.

You must offer a refund to customers if they’ve told you within 14 days of receiving their goods that they want to cancel. They have another 14 days to return the goods once they’ve told you.

You must refund the customer within 14 days of receiving the goods back. They don’t have to provide a reason.

I'll call OC tomorrow and see what they say ! its going to cost me nothing to send it back as I work for Royal mail so no loss there for me..... Like I said OC could save them and myself a lot of hassle buy refunding me a little bit back and everyone is happy!

I don't like that fact I purchased a product and its changed by 30.00 in 12 days that is a big deal too me... that's technically Half a days pay for someone who is on minimum wage.

Where or how do you think ocuk recoup the cost of people like you doing stuff like that ?, the cpu you got would have probably cost ocuk more then as supply was limited you knew the price would drop when you purchased it ie

please enlighten me as to how it will cost you nothing to send back as working for royal mail doesn't mean you get free postage

If it was in Jan mate I would have accepted the higher cost! We are talking a week here!

Ok I spoke to OC today and told them too use the £30 they over charged me to BUY A BOX OF HARIBO so you can all have a FREE Gift of me at Xmas with your orders ! Your welcome HAHA

Merry Christmas :P

get you head out your A?!......again, i'll repeat myself, grow up. you're not having banter, you started the thread and it didn't go as you thought it would so now 'it's just banter'

I think I've figured out why you're desperate to chase the £30, you paid for it on your dads credit card and he's peeved of at you so it's coming out of your pocket money?

I figured out you're a complete idiot :P I respect everyone's opinion! hence why I asked DO you THINK its FAIR to ask for a £30 refund ?.... its no big deal I was just asking for peoples opinions.... & explaining my legal rights as a Customer , at no time have I said OC MUST REFUND ME.

To start with it was 12 days from when I noticed! The price was changed on the 28th Nov! On the OC website I believe , So a few days after I ordered! Hence why I asked the question... so I think I have every right to ask... ....

I also wanted to add- if you BUY anything online from any Retailer they have to REFUND you no questions asked under EU consumer laws so in future I'll just get a refund :)

When you buy goods online you have additional rights to return them.

This is because your decision may be based on a brief description or a photograph – so what you receive isn't always quite what you’d expected.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you are allowed to return an item if you simply change your mind.
