Is it just me or has the FPS on BF2 gone down?

Hey guys.

Just before we start my graphics cars is 6800 (not overclocked, not unlocked pipes)

Previously i had a sucky radeon 9550, which played BF2 better than the card ive got now :eek: And i have no idea why.

Is any one else suffering with low FPS/LAG in bf2?

How much RAM have you got/what's the rest of your system like?

You could be enabling settings with your 6800 that are either too much for it at the resolution you're playing at or you've got textures up too high which requires a fair bit of system RAM (1.5GB to be safe)
 
High fps, no lag, no stuters or glitches maxed out 1280 x 1024 4x aa etc.

Although my system is not comparable at all, no drop between patches if that is what you mean.

Try sticking everything on low then turning them all up one by one, would help to know the rest of the specs aswell.
 
Everything is on low..

I have 2GIG RAM

Intel Celeron D 2.93GHz


I dont know why its stuttering.

Well you did say that your card was unlucked and overclocked previously.. and now you've put it back down. I'm guessing it wasnt stable
 
Could be drivers, could be an old Windows install, could be the CPU, could be a dodgy install of BF2.

Really could be anything mate. Do other games run OK? oblivion not included as its a system hog. Your 3dmark03 scores still the same or went down?
 
my 3d mark 03 scores went down a bit because i took the overclock off and i out the pipes back .

This pc is getting on my nerves.

Dude.. chill all I was suggesting was that you may just think that your PC is better than it is.. So you may have your settings set a bit high... No need for this..

BF2 is on lowest settings as possible, it cant go no lower than low :o
