Is it me or has WoW become way to easy..

Vanilla is way better but it's still a good MMO, Cataclysm looks good and it's great they are refreshing the old, vanilla world.

and they said they're gonna make purples more, well, epic again. I hope they stick to this. :D Looking forward to getting back with the old guild for Cataclysm, we was best on server during Ulduar and ToC days then sort of went a bit casual / or quit. I thought Ulduar was great!

yeah its awful now. i stopped playing a few months ago since playing from launch and can safely say that it has gone downhill since TBC. its now just a matter of turning up and killing stuff. its a real shame as it was great back in the day. but blizzard have sold out to make money by pandering to the masses and making everything ever so easy to do/get.

gutted

I look at my brother when hes playing wow and its like someones taken the brain out, I dont think theres any challenge in that game whatsoever.

your right its **** easy now.

i recently shut my subscription, ill come back on cata with and start from scratch on two new characters, i hear difficulty is ramping up again in the new expansion.

Easy to play, much harder to master. Not so easy if you ever dipped your toes into the hardcore scene working on pre-nerf encounters for example.

Collaborative execution for some of the harder encounters in the game took much practice and exposing people as much as possible before it would mesh nicely and result in a killed boss, some encounters the margin for error was close to nil.

The only difference between a sucessful guild and a fail guild is the sucessful guild isn't scared to filter the idiots away. You don't need more then average intelligence to step away from green fire or dodge orbs, but someone who's more interested in watching porn while their guild members do everything can't do it.

It started going downhill when they removed ranks from battlegrounds.

Oh and when they removed 40man raids. They were pretty epic at times and great fun.

TBC was probably the finest gaming experience I've ever had. LK ruined it for me, too easy, I hate the GS rubbish, pretty much all of the challenge and lure of TBC has been stripped out. I haven't played properly since it came out. I'll take a look at Cata though :)

WoW was definitely best before they ruined it with expansion packs. The idiots whined that it was too hard to get 40 people together and co-ordinated, took too much time, etc.

And as they make up the majority, they got pandered to.

You guys will probably have a raging hard-on for Cataclysm then, at the moment you'll die if you have more than one mob on you. Yes, the non-elite garden variety. Currently the idea is that you use your full repetoire of skills and abilities if you want to pick a fight with something and walk away from it.

Be careful what you wish for :)

As someone who got stuck on 4-horsemen pre-TBC, of course it was a massive pain in the arse and I'm glad it's gone away.

That sounds fantastic. Hopefully it won't get changed.

Naxx was a weird one. I think it was too hard really. I know i'll get flamed for it but there needs to be a balance between it being impossible and it being a case of just turning up for the raid.

And I believe places like MC, BWL, and AQ had it down to an art form.

tried wow for 10 mins. hated it. tried lotro for 10 mins. loved it.

I've played through vanilla and missed TBC and recently started WOtLK. It's a lot less annoying and getting ilvl 232 gear is so easy they might as well hand it to you by mail. 5man heroics are also a joke.

But 25 man LK on heroic isn't easy at all. But yeah PUGing the end game instance doesn't really add up.

Cata's supposed to change all this though, 5 man heroics actually take some CC and brains. Also , low levels have been made easier to level right now as the old world content is horrible. Quest chains all over the place with crappy rewards.

edit: Vanilla WoW :

brb rolling a mage and being a vending machine and wasting half an hour of my time just to make water
brb rolling a druid and doing nothing but innervate? Heal? Next time roll a priest.
brb rolling paladin and being a buffing machine every 5 mins- DPS? HAHAHA!

Vanilla was great, but too many people using [Rose Tinted Glasses] ITT.

Vanilla: High point of WoW in terms of content, every encounter was different by miles and took a long time to learn, was no way you could go in on the first night and win just by gear level.

TBC: Had it's moments, Black Temple was too easy and so was The Eye, thankfully they saved it with Sunwell and it felt like you were raiding the old stuff again.

WOTLK: I quit after Ulduar came out because the content just wasn't exciting, and every man and their dog has the same gear. I came back to the game just 1 month ago and it's just ruined. Managed to clear ICC within just 2 weeks of returning and you can see why it's so dumbed down just by sitting in trade chat for 10 minutes. It seems people have forgotten how to play now, GS is used as a benchmark over knowledge and experience.

My point is, every expansion it's got gradually worse, any idiot can kill the LK and it's just not even worth the effort, you get no sense of achievment when you kill something anymore (Except maybe on HC mode, sometimes. Anybody else remember wearing a tier set and standing out in capital cities?) and Blizzard have completely shut out any of the 'hardcore' (hate that phrase) market from excelling in the game.

Hopefully Cata will be a step backwards and give everyone a massive shock, be fun seeing servers with 10-20 guilds clearing content dropping to 3-4 guilds like the old days :p

I played wow from 05-07, I look at the game now and facepalm. It's not like it's only just become bad in the last 6 months. It went downhill years ago.

This , people who go omg link your xxx boss hardmode kill dont understand that the whole game has been easier not just raids

Catclysm will be just as bad

Where can I get one of those crystal balls?

I'm in the beta and I'm loving it so far.
