Me to keep my IDE hdd (60gb) in my pc at the moment, for my windows boot up, and in slave have a 200gb for storage (This would be a sata drive)

So, how would I format the 2nd slave, I want for storage ? Just the normal format when I want to install windows.

Thanks! So ultimately, It will show in My computer as a second hdd, which I can just drag things over... :)

Assuming your mobo supports SATA and your Windows has the drivers for it, you should be fine with having it as a second HDD.

You can format it several ways.

During an XP install
Using Disk Management in XP
Using the HDD Vendor's own software [check their website]
Using a third party utility [FDISK, Partition Magic etc etc etc etc]

Recommendation is NTFS and try and maybe have more than one partition on your HDD. For example one for music and movies, one for documents and one for other data. This however is completely subjective and is basically down to your own requirements and preference.
