- Is it possible to be too rich?

Why do people still advocate that "money does not buy you happiness". ITs obviously wrong. As when you have money you can buy your self lots of things that make you happy. It works for me anyway.

Measuring happiness or generating any sort of 'happiness indice' is notoriously difficult - it's like quantifying pain, on the other end of the scale - but most research generally shows that people with less economic comfort are just as happy as those with plenty of material wealth. The whole notion that you can purchase yourself to fulfillment and happiness is a myth and a lie generated by 1960's consumerist culture, fed to neurotic housewives who were convinced having the best washing-machine in the neighbourhood would dissolve their clinical depression.

Its what the rich people lie, to try and convince the poor people.

Actually, if anything, the 'rich' have a vested interest in perpetuating the myth that 'money buys happiness'. Encouraging people to keep on consuming - normally on credit - only makes the people at the top wealthier. If the rich succeeded in convincing all the poor people that 'money does not buy happiness'... where would they get their riches from? Their money trees?

If you watched some of those documentaries you would know that there are numerous billionaires that have not worked for it at all. They were given or inherited billions. Hence some dont work for it at all!

The problem is you're focusing on the things in life that don't really matter. When I was a kid I had hopes and dreams. We all did. But over time, the daily grind gets in the way and you miss the things that really matter, even though they are right in front of you, staring you in the face. I think the next time you should ask yourself "Am I on the right track here?". I don't mean to be rude but people like you I really pity. So maybe you could use the few brain cells you have and take advantage of the knowledge I have given you now. Good luck.

I have always said

You cannot buy happiness,,,
Having Lots of money just makes life more easily and less stressful

For Example:Things like
No need to worry about needing find the money to buy/paid for a house
No need to worry about how you would pay the bills if you lost your job
ETC ETC

There was a program on telly recently called billionaire girl. And this rich girl Tamarra went to a bar with her mats and ordered 2 or 3 bottles of champaign at 87$k each.

Even if I had over 8 billion $ usa then I would not throw money about like that.

I wonder how rich she must be to get knocked as described.

The $$ is not the prob. it is the person. Just cause you can doesn't mean you should do something. Wow, 2 or 3 $87k each!!!
