Is it possible to check how many "previous owners" without paying for a vcheck?

just looking on AT, and im just wondered if its possible to check previous owners without paying a fee ?

Make friends with a car dealer? Lol. Vcheck can be very handy as it also lists any previous accident damage that may not be recorded on an official register. If you’re serious about the car it’s worth it. You could ask to see the V5 too?

Plug the details into gumtree as if you're making an advert and it'll list them or it used to at least.

This works, stick the reg in and it prefills the number of previous owners when it asks for more details

I always thought that was just a standard assumption it makes so they can knock you down a bit when it actually has more owners.

Yeah that's there assumption when providing the valuation, it's not actually telling you how many previous owners.

It agree's with the prev owners for my cars... it's used for valuation so unlikley to be a figure picked from thin air?

I see WBAC have dropped their valuations down from earlier this year when they were actually giving very good prices on performance cars. £10k is hilarious - that car is actually on AT for £15.5k. I wonder if WBAC are anticipating a big slow down in the market towards the end of the year?
