Hi,

As the title suggests, is it possible to RAID a Western Digital Raptor X (SATA)and a Western Digital VelociRaptor 150GB (SATA II)? if yes would the SATA difference affect the performance in anyway?

Cheers

As I understand it, you can RAID them if the capacity is the same. If the capacity is different, you will be limited to number of drives x capacity of smallest drive.
SATA 1 is unlikely to affect the performance - it is only SSDs and perhaps newer Raptors that max out SATA 1 bandwidth.

Yes you can, I did this with a 320GB sata2 and a 300GB sata. I lost the extra 20GB on the newer drive but it worked perfectly fine for about 2 years.
