Is it possible to remove scratches from plastic?

Hello all,

Right, the missus is having a bad day...

She's borrowed (with permission) her parents nion brand new 208 to Luton to sort out her accomodation for next year etc.

Now shes reversed awkwardly and clipped a wall, the wing mirror has a scratch on it which can be resprayed but its gone further onto the plastic.

Is there a way to easily repair this and save the silly mares life?

Will it look new afterwards? Is it easy to do?

Its only small scratches i guess?
sand down area so it has no edges, fill, sand down so its all flat / rounded. prime / spray.

how much is a new cover?
