I know it is not that big a deal but was wondering if it is possible to completely remove them so they are no longer in the screensaver list. i.e 3D flower box etc etc.

Just one of these annoying little things that bug me :)

I guess if you delete the files behind them then there wont be any

I just tried that and it disappeared from the list, no errors. Screensavers have the extension '.scr'.

thanks for the replies guys but deleting these files does not seem to get rid of them from the list. Have deleted them from system32 folder??

Am just away to retsart and see if that makes a difference.

EDIT: that didn't work. I should probably have also mentioned I am running Windows XP Pro

.scr files are protected, you can't delete them without something been modified, it acctually is hacking a dll file but can't speak about it here.

i dont have any screensavers listed in my box(not even the windows defaults that are installed at install of windows)
im sure i just deleted them and they were gone from the list, but it was so long ago that cant remember what i did to remove them

in case anyone is still following this I have now managed to delete them all.

You need to delete them from

C:\Windows\system32\dllcache

and/or

C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386

This stops windows automatically replacing them once you have deleted them.

and then delete them from C:\Windows\system32

Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated as always.
