Is it possible to reverse a paypal payment

because he is 15?

edit: Actually he may only be 14

no because he shouldnt have been using it and he didnt recieve her permission.

loads of scammers will buy something outside of ebay and then claim it was an
"unauthorised transcation" to get a refund , paypal nearly always side with them even if they have no evidence they must just open a dispute and type "unauthorised transcation"

Well if it is a premier account i would think that paypal would put the transaction on hold just to check that your wanting to go ahead with this and its not a scammer/hacker.

Contact the Bank?
I did a Similar thing, i sent a gift payment of £300 to a random fellow, was meant for a buddy stuck overseas, i got it back after endless phone calls to Paypal.

Contact the Bank and PayPal, it's fraudulent use of PayPal (password guessed/hacked) which has resulted in fraudulent use of the credit card.

Only problem is (I know with banks and credit card issues) that they won't sort out fraudulent use cases unless you agree that they can let the police prosecute to the full extent of the law... and as in most cases it'll be a family member that did it so the 'victim' doesn't agree to it...

Unless this happend by him knowing the details and doing it from a different computer with a different IP then as far as PayPal are concerned this isn't an unauthorised transaction.

How thick does this lad have to be to accidentally donate over $1186? With Paypal there are a few confirmation screens with the amount on in bold.

Doesn't sound too accidental to me. I think he just wanted to be top of that leaderboard.

Bit annoying OP didn't bother to end the thread.

I assume all went well and couldn't care to reply here after getting the advice/help they wanted.

Yeah, that was it.
