This is not so much as a question of 'can I post something to sell' but I am actually interested in what to expect and how to go about selling off some old hardware. I have typically just stuck it in my wife's PC but since we divorced its either bin it or sell it. The hardware is okay'ish and I suppose someone might actually be after some legacy stuff.

Examples would be: QX9650, P5Q-E, OCZ dominator 1333, Megahalems R2.

Any thoughts, and advice, how does one shift their done and dusted hardware?

The members market is provided as a free service to active and contributing forum members. OcUK are not liable for any deals that are done in the Members Market, you are free to buy and sell at your own risk. Please read the rules of the Members Market before you proceed to make your first sale.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 1000 posts and have been signed up for at least 180 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 1000 posts, you will need to activate your trust. The Trust system is for Members Market feedback only and not to be used for general user comments. Abusing the trust system will not be tolerated and such abuse will result in your account being suspended/ banned. Trust activation is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Once you satisfy both of these criteria, Members Market access will be granted within 24hrs. Please do not post on the forums asking why you cannot access the members market, if you have any queries, email one of the forum Dons/Admins. The contact addresses are available in the FAQ. There is no buying, or selling allowed outside of the Members Market.

Nice, overclockers.co.uk has a warm feeling of a little uk enthusiasts club, it's very cosy and nice. That said, I have a handful of posts, I was wondering more about the viability of eBay and such like. No experience of selling hardware at all TBH as I mentioned earlier it's usually been gifted to family.

What you've got there seems to be sellable. I recently sold a Q9450 for £70 which was okay. Has people selling theirs for £110 but I needed to get rid of it quick.
That CPU you've got there could sell for over £100 on eBay. It'll only cost you 40p to try your luck. Do remember that there are eBay fees and they'll take 10% of what you make.

The mods frown upon people trying to sell outside of the Members Market, but asking questions about it should be OK. Just don't start asking for price checks or saying things that could be seen as dropping hints, and don't post links to any eBay listing you start.

The MM here is great, you will just have to stick around for a bit to build up a post count.
