Is it possible to transfer a RAID array...

...from an old Nforce4 motherboard onto a P35 motherboard? Will it detect the drives and array straightaway or will I need to set it up and format again??

no dont think it's possible as both use different RAID controller. however you can backup the partition to an image and then restore back once you got new RAID setup. make sure you got the P35 RAID driver integrated into your OS before backup

but to be honest, i just start fresh install and do it properly
