to retrieve stuff I've just deleted off a SD card, I copied it deleted it and then when i came to paste..... all of my last day photos gone

nowhere to be seen

i think there are free programs on the net - i used it once

just search for something like SD Card recovery

Try ontrack easyrecovery, btw for future reference the copy button doesn't actually copy anything.

There is a PC program called Recuva and another one which will work on external media connected to the PC.
