Just wondered, is the Team Group Vulcan T-Force 32GB 3000mhz Samsung B.die Ram?
It says "Selected high quality IC chips". What does that mean exactly?

Most likely not. B-die usually come with timings such as 16-16-16-36 or 14-14-14-34

These should be https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...3200mhz-quad-channel-kit-black-my-094-tg.html

I think gibbo said in the deals thread that it isnt.
Ok, thought so.
Not that it really matters, not going to overclock more than XMP.

Just I saw a review of the 3200 Vulkan TUF which said they were B.die.
Their timings are 16-18-18-36 which got me wondering.

They maybe B-die but it is not guaranteed, TeamGroup will use an IC which meets the specification, the chances are they are mainly B-die but of course its not a guarantee.
Let me ask TeamGroup if they can guarantee it or not.

Cool, be v interesting to find out.
Thanks Gibbo.

Yes I would be interested also.

Is there a program that you can run which informs you what the memory chips are on your currently installed RAM...?

Learning everyday, good to know, thanks ;)

You're welcome :D

Download it, extract it, run as admin, then select the read button, if you have 2 sticks of ram it will list 2 items, if you have 4 it will list 4, etc etc, select one of them ie sm bus @ 52h for instance is one of your sticks, and it will read and display all the information about that stick

If you get the paid version, you can flash your sticks with different XMP profiles and SPD, I had to buy it to fix my G.Skill trident Z RGB, when the LED's went dark, when G.skill hadn't quite got the LED software right and it just used to corrupt the SPD info on the sticks.

^^^^^ Thanks ever so much for noting that program. I'll check it out when I get back home.

Thanks to both of you for the replies.

Yes there is, thaipoon burner, it's free too

Thanks again for that program....

never thought that my Corsair would be anything other than Hynix, seems that it is Samsung E Die, might not be Ryzen proof tho.....

Well, got the T-Force Vulcan setup and working so far at XMP 3000mhz.
They're Hynix M-die. That good or bad, in relative terms of course. If they work then it's all good :D
