Not sure if anyone ever tried but notice how orthos stopped itself alone ( I didnt touch it ) because it has run out of tests :S (default settings) .


Would also like to know what have tried for the ultimate torture test ;).

I think you need to drop your HT link from x5 to x4

245 x 5 = 1225

245 x 4 = 980

I believe the HT link is meant to run at approx 1000MHz although I have seen results where it is running less with no negative effect but I always had problems with it running much over 1000Mhz myself i.e no boot?

Oh well, thanks for the advice but that wasnt the main point ;-).
And yeh the HT is mostly limiting OCs, I believe I could get it up to 2.9 if I dropped it to x4.
 
Vcore a bit high? I had my 3700 @ 2.70GHz with 1.48vcore. I would've thought you would get away with about 1.46/7vcore.
