I sold my old 7900GTO on the famous auction site a while back and the guy that bought it has had the error message that says there is power being supplied to the card is insufficient even though he's upgraded is PSU.

I got that error too but believe it was caused by the PC going into power saving mode (standby) and the card detects the drop in power and thinks the PSU is insufficient.

Would I be right in thinking this? That's what I told the guy on the auction site has the error only seemed to appear for me after the PC had been in standby.

it is a driver related issue, if he is getting it he is most likelly using the drivers off the disk, use the newest drivers and that will sort the problem
