is it still a good idea to stick to the same network?

In the past when your contract was expring you were given a good deal now they seem to be offering the same deals to new customers as well.

Im with 3 and on a sim only £12 p/m for 600 mins ultd text and 1gb data. I was thinking of going with t-mobile but dont know what the covergae is like.

so do you stick to the same network or shop around

ive been with 3 for 6 years now

Look round and see what deals you can get on other networks, then ring retentions and see what they offer. If they don't offer as good or better deal then say sayonara and get your PAC code.

If they are not offering you better deals then why stay with them? Remember as well that a lot of deals on the net can also come with Quidco discounts of up to £100+

I made the point in another thread that im pretty much being forced to stick with Vodafone, because the deal I got 5 years ago is far cheaper than anything currently offered by any network, all networks seem to be inflating the cost of their tariffs as well as adding large up front payments for handsets.

That said SIM only deals are a different kettle of fish, so shop around and see whats out there, you could also get a PAYG sim card from the networks you fancy to test their signal in your area before you commit to a tariff.

If you want more data GiffGaff (O2) offer unlimited data and texts but less minutes for the same price you are currently paying. Lots of people seem to love them.
