Is it still worth having a separate game drive with how fast nvme is?

I have not read through all the comments but I have a 1TB Samsung 970 Evo.

Partitioned it in to 150GB for C drive and the rest as D Drive.

I do this that if I ever need to re install Windows its done in 15/20 mins and all my games are still there and do not need to back them up or re download the games again.

I always have 2 drives (Both NVME)

In my most recent 3 builds, all AMD, I have a 1TB PCIE GEN 5 SSD, For OS and apps. I then have a 2-4TB PCIE GEN 4 SSD for games.

If I re-install the OS, I don’t have to re-download the games
Some games are 200-300GB so that would fill up a 1TB quite quickly

Documents and photos, music and videos are all NAS hosted and shared via all 3 PC’s.

NAS backed up to cloud storage.

Job done.
