would personal pick the top one, as GPU can be added at a later date, but system has a 4 Core and 8 thread CPU along with 240GB SSD for OS and PUGB- other games and be stored on HDD

Good evening everyone

I came back for more help.

Could you please advise me which processor should get for my old pc to upgrade.

I want to also mention that i will be upgrading in the middle of this year to whole new shabang and im just wondering if should i choose the baddest CPU on the market which i can fit into my old MOBO or just get something temporary and wait patiently for whole new rig?

Please help.

there's not a lot that will work with your motherboard, 3770k probably the best bet, though may need a bios update. They can be found for about £100 2nd hand, and while they are still a relatively capable CPU, is still pretty expensive for what you get :(

If you're talking about the 2500K - I wouldn't throw any more money at it and wait for your midyear upgrade. I would clock it within an inch of its life - if you haven't done so already.

As, @StarShock, has pointed out the 3770K still commands a tidy amount secondhand and you have a board that could potentially die any day and would be very expensive to replace (or potentially brick with the mandatory flash you would have to apply if not applied already).

In conclusion - wait patiently.

Appreciate for all responses.
Yes, my CPU 2500K is already OC. I think i will need to change a paste as i haven't since i got it - which is 8 years.

But if somehow i would get money earlier for new rig, which parts you would recomend for me?

I'm thinking to start streaming gameplays Nd what i have learned that i will probably need to PC? So my question is if i will be able to use the one which i have to stream and the other new one for gaming?

Parts which i have i mind are:
GPU - RTX 2080TI 11GB (which brand?)
CPU - I9 9900k
MOBO - not sure yet, thinking about future to upgrade later on
CASE - DONT KNOW
PSU - dont know
RAM - not sure
SSD - SLIM one but not sure which one
HDD - dont know
Monitor - gaming, investment

Whole rig i would like to just upgrade later on puece by piece if this will be possible so im thinking about this like 8 years investment?

Please help.

If you go the 9900K route your upgrade route will be very limited as you will need a new motherboard.

My 2p's worth:
Whatever Z390 motherboard you buy for the 9900K, You will not be able to upgrade the CPU in the future, Intel no longer works like that unfortunately.

With AMD's AM4 platform, there should be at least one more generation of Ryzen CPU's that you will be able to upgrade to (& I'm waiting for that) hence the spec below. (No GC though)

Case, PSU are subjective choices (PSU is on offer, I suggest 650w for a system with a top end graphics card,550w at a push) RAM again on offer. SSD don't go cheap but don't go expensive.

If you want the best SSD go Samsung but they are not cheap. WD for hard drive, I've only had 1 WD drive fail on me in 25 years of dealing in PC's.

2080ti - Gigabyte if you want after sales. I'd wait for the next gen of Nvidia graphics cards though, rumoured to be sometime in the next 2 months.
