If it was free, you got yourself a good deal :D

As said, any 3rd party cooler is usually better than stock. Your temps prove it :)

I just bought a Evo 120 for my X2 3800+ but for the life of me I cannot get it to fit properly on my motherboard (Winfast NF4SK8AA). It says in the manual to use two screws and two springs, so I got the screws/springs it tells me to use, but the spring is too long (or the screw is too short). Its physically impossible for the screw to make contact with the bolt in the motherboards back place. So I tried one of the shorter springs, but its too short for that screw. Then I tried the smaller screw with the smaller spring but again the spring is too long.. I think it might be due to the backplate that's fitted on this motherboard. The screw doesn't make contact with the bolt in the plate until its about a quarter of an inch from the bottom of the board. Unfortunately the only back plate that comes with this heatsink is for socket 775 installation and won't fit on this board...
