I renewed my membership for World Of Warcraft again today...

After playing it for about 1 hour or so, I suddenly became "bored" of it.

I'm playing on an Undead Mage - only level 30.

I was speaking to some friend yesterday and he said the Mage class is boring, switch to something diffrent, but i dont want to do this, because ive already put a lot of gold into this level 30.

Can any one reccomend anything else "funner" to do playing WoW :(

This is the reason why i quit last time, i just want something else to do, that isnt grinding lol.

Thanks :)

I joined WoW in 1.1, quit in 1.4, rejoined in 1.8 and quit again already. I got so bored with the grind. Thing is, all mmorpgs have similar ways of 'annoying' me, for example Eve would be good if it didnt involve so much auto pilot travelling. M advice, play another genre for a while.

My first ever character was a Gnome Mage which I got to Level 42 and now I'm bored of her. It was fun at first because I got to spam monsters before they could even touch me but I then saw other people's cool looking characters around AH and decided that I was more of a dual-wielding/mail type of person :p

When I go back on WoW and get Burning Crusade, I'll probably go for a Blood Elf Warrior or Hunter.

I really enjoy my mage, although I do admit that they can get very repetative. If you're unsure, then I'd recommend making another character on the same server, and your mage to fund it until you know if you prefer it or not. Hunters can be a lot of fun, as they are quite a complex class. If you do roll a hunter, make sure you learn fishing and cooking as early as possible, as they make it a LOT easier to keep your pet happy :).

Hunter is fun aswell as u can just about own every class if well played, Warriors are always a very popular class these days, only bad thing about em being popular means lots of competition for end game.

I know some people who have become bored with the game, but are looking to exchange real life money for gold and items :( - is that even possible and is it legal? So I could tell them not to bother and go play and fps or rpg game for a bit . . .

My main is rogue aswell. Am at 54 and have never been disappointed. I play regularly with two mates who are Warrior and Warlock, which both seem like a laugh, esp when you can summon an infernal at 50!

Got bored with my alt hunter as the whole pet thing just got annoying, the thing would just sod off in the middle of a fight or quest and I couldn't be bothered to feed the thing every five mins just so it would stick around.

Also our Warlock has taken Gnomish engineering which is always a laugh as half the stuff is so dodgy that it back fires and most of the time on the group. Maybe try mixing it up with some craft skills.

I am gonna start a priest alt as it seems that everyone is always looking for a healer when they are grouping. Half the pain with wow is trying to get a full, and decent, group together; maybe being a priest will remedy that.

i guess people have a different concept of what is fun and what isnt on wow, for me running about as a 60 rogue not being able to get in a stable pve-esque guild and then help them get further in the big raid dungeons and perhaps get some good items, it was more of a choir. Sitting around waiting for so long to get a raid going then it not happening, or endless grind of the pvp in battlegrounds for some new items.

WoW is items, 1-59 its a different story and is really fun, after that 60+ is when it becomes a bore, I love the pvp on it but it isn't fun spending 12 hours a day to get rank 14 or be excluded from any guild events because I didn't pick a healer class. It then become that I need to reroll priest or druid to actually be invited, and screw that I don't pay that much money a month to be told what to do.

Thats the problem with all mmorpgs that revolve around items and lack of solo gameplay to get anywhere, oh I miss UO :(

I have started again and I have got a mage, rogue, warlock, warrior, druid, priest and hunter all to lvl 10 in the last week. The only ones I am taking forward are the warlock, priest and hunter. I found the mage the most boring and I can't be bothered to do a rogue again.

I've got a lvl 57 Frost Human mage on Dragonmaw. I've got my sub active atm but its to no use really. I'm in an inactive guild and I have no motivation to grind by myself. Anyhow the mage is really fun to play but imo takes a lot of skill to play.

So will just about everyone else :D

I started a human mage recently, and I'm really enjoying it. My other character is a lvl 38 Orc Warrior. It's a refreshing change, but I still find the warrior class the most fun

When I played Beta i started a shammie and loves every second of it. In release played a Mage and became bored arround level 25 and haven't played WoW since.

Definatly the wrong class for me as I'm use to running through mobs rather than round them which sadly the dress dwelling mage couldn't do as he died far to quickly.

Broke my own golden rule of never play a int class :-/

Umm... shamans would be an "int" class too.

Problem is, when you've played mmorpg's for a good couple years you soon realise that these mmorpg's are basically the same with different packaging.

I agree playing a different genre for a while gives you back the 'drive' to play another mmorpg , however I seem to get bored quicker and quicker the more i play these games.

That said, if your pretty new to mmorpgs then by all means play one character until the end. You really will reap the rewards by sticking with one character, you will make more friends and have a great time and once your raiding the game comes to life a bit.(Not so much as everquest did though)
