I have looked around for the answer to no avail.

I know people say that memory is not like it used to be last time i built my rig Q6600, That Sandybridge Frequencies and timmings dont really matter anymore on that chipset, Just get a 1600 set and be done with it.

So my question is as i'm going Bulldozer (Hopefully soon!), Is this the case for AMD?. Would getting a nice fast set of 2133 memory matter as much as it did 3 years ago on AMD?.

I know the Intel answer, but is it the same for AMD?

Thanks in advance.

I believe 1866 will have support, not sure on higher. Definitely though for Llano or AMD cpu's with an IGP (possibly later bulldozer) that can make use of very fast ram.

Integrated Graphics Processor (IGP), LOL me and my XMP!

Got a 580 so not really bothered about IGP just response times.

Cheers again
