is it time to upgrade?

I have almost run out of room on my drives.
Ideally I would like a 4TB Seagate drive.
However I have an Asus p5q-E motherboard.

Will SATA II see all of a 4TB drive or will it only see 2TB max?

I have a funny (perculiar) feeling that it could be time to rebuild

I think you need a uefi bios to see larger than 2tb

i think you only need that to boot from it. if it's a data drive, you should be able to set it from within windows disk management as a GPT partition ok.

don't quote me on this though.
