Is it time?

Hey Zogger, im very much in the same conundrum since can no longer get hold of Lian-Li pc7+ case (which would have been ideal) am thinking either antec lanboy or the antec 900 super gaming. I think the lanboy looks a bit cheap but then again would save money to be spent on other components.

I'm happy with my lanboy.. good value for money - but I've never really been bothered about looks. Would rather have the components. Quite tight but airflow isn't bad with the two 120mm fans included. Depends what you're looking for really. 900 would obviously give you a lot more airflow and isn't a bad price, considering it has 2 more fans (including a 200mm :o) and space for more...

id rather have a 600W or more, it just, feels safer, wouldnt it be o.k to have like a Pentum D processor and have a really good GFX Card etc?

You really do not need 600w, I am currently running 2 HDs, DVD RW, heavily clocked pentium D, 7800GT, 4 120mm fans, 2gb RAM etc. on a 430w Seasonic PSU completely stable. Core 2 duo use less power than pentium Ds (got a mobo on the way for mine \o/)

Yes but wouldnt that 535w prevent him upgrading to one of the new gen graphics cards in the future, id much rather spend a bit extra now and have that upgrade path available than spend £x now and then when he needs a new graphics card buy another £x psu.

At this moment in time it would be silly spending so much $ on a gaming rig then not having ability slip in a dx10 card when the funds are available, then he would have a ninja rig!

if you think you will at some point use it then yes I would say it's worth going for more power. Having said that I don't think even a G80 would come close to pushing it over the 535. Depends on a lot of variables though and if you're willing to spend the extra then why not.

I was thinking of getting a Pentium D 3.4Ghz instead of an E6300, is it worth it?

still the same answer as last time.. get the 6300. look at the benchies linked above.
All of the Pentium Ds come at the bottom the E6300 comes way above them. That's not even overclocked.

should i get the antec case with 430W PSU, dont know the name...

Will you be overclocking/ upgrading to a next gen graphics card in the near future? If so a 600w psu is recommended

Otherwise, should be fine
