I've not mastered how to do it with mouse and keyboard, it's difficult to get everything right whilst trying to dodge rockets & fend off other people in jets. Using a Xbox controller make's everything easier to handle and control.

Does it matter if it's an Xbox or PS3 controller? I've got one of them cheap ones that is designed like the PS3 controller

Although only used it once for when I played NFS, might give BF3 a crack with it (flying)

is it just simple controls or are the vehicle controls also detailed ?
