Is it worth it to pay for a frame alignment check?

So I got an old (but still very much functional) bike that I’m planning to bring to this bicycle servicing London shop for some frame/forks alignment checking. But I just want to know, is paying for such service an ideal decision? Or should I do the check-up myself since I know a bit about bicycles and stuff, just to save money and gain more experience along the way?
